My Personal Flute Collection

At the top right is my first flute, a student model concert flute that I first got in the 5th grade.  Top left is a Hall Crystal Flute in ‘g’ which has a ‘clipper’ sailing ship design etched on it in 24 karat gold. Below these in the center are a Nepali shepherd’s flute (approx. in the key of ‘a’) and a Bb maple fife from Williamsburg, VA (both given to me as gifts).  To the far right are my hardwood quenas and quenacho.  The darker ones were made in Bolivia and the lighter quena is from Peru.  In the center are my Andean zamponas or pan-pipes (double rowed zanka and malta sized sikus to the right and rondador and antara to the left).  Finally, at the bottom left is the newest addition to my collection, my Casey Burns Irish flute in mopane wood.
